I am late in wishing you, sweet readers, a Happy New Year. I’ve been under the weather and out of the loop. Thanks to so many of you for your get well wishes and offers of hot tea and chicken soup.

Christmas left my hollow without me knowing, at least the decorations did. Until yesterday my tree burned brightly as I nursed my cold and aching joints. Maybe this was not such a bad thing, this holding on to Christmas. I sang a few more verses of carols this year. I stared into the tree lights and pondered the true meaning of Christmas more nights. I reread cards and prayed for the senders. I bathed in the shine of the star and glowed in its warmth—no, not such a bad thing after all.

I do wish you a happy new year. I wish you peace, joy and a sense of expectation. I pray you meet your goals. I hope to spend more time with you this year and share more of the wonderful secrets these mountains hold. I’ve been thinking of new directions for this blog. Plan to come go home with me and lets share this year together. I would love to pray for you this year-send me your requests and I promise to take them to the throne. Please remember me.

Now for that cup of steaming tea sweetened with local mountain honey, a cold cure in a cup!

I pray blessings fall on you daily,
Dee Dee

  1. Can't wait to talk to you. I started my new prayer journal for 2014 and wondered what to copy over for you. Praying He gives you direction as He restores you to full health!
    Love you bunches :)

  3. LOL. I'm still holding on to Christmas too Dee Dee! We pulled the tree out of our family room and out on to our deck. It's still in the stand. Since I can't take it out (due to shoulder surgery), I decided the icicle lights still on the deck would look better on the tree. :) It's a bit untidy, but I love seeing the Christmas lights outside. :)

I love you dear Dee Dee!
